Tourist Guide Trainer

With a background in Adult Education , it wasn’t long until Jessie started training Tourist Guides on both Regional and National Courses in Ireland. She has trained both regional and national guides at a number of ETBs (Educational Training Boards) in Kildare, Kerry and Waterford. She is currently the only trainer in Ireland to have obtained a certificate as a FEG (Federation of European Tourist Guide Associations) Trainer, which is up to EN standard EN15565: 2008 As such, she regularly provides training for qualified guides in Europe on topics such as Dark Tourism, Guiding at UNESCO world heritage sites and “The Art of Guiding”. She is also a certified “T-Guide”, qualified to guide people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. She recently became a member of the Training Consultative Group(TCG) , the training division of FEG, and is passionate about maintaining standards in the industry.
